Pastor Luke Boehringer

Pastor Luke Boehringer was born a sinner in April 1978 in central California; he was baptized into Christ early May 1978 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Fresno. He attended the preaching of Christ in his childhood in Lutheran churches in California, Japan, and Wisconsin. He received Holy Communion for the first time in May 1992 at Christ Lutheran Church, West Salem, Wisconsin, and gratefully continues to frequently receive the true body and blood of Christ ever since, as he was attending Luther Preparatory School and Martin Luther College.

He was graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2004. He was ordained a pastor at Michigan Lutheran Seminary (a Lutheran prep school in Saginaw) that August. He served there two years as a teacher, chaplain, and dorm supervisor. Following his service in Saginaw, he was assigned as associate pastor to Salem Lutheran Church in Owosso, Michigan. In 2009 he received and accepted the Divine Call to serve as the pastor of Gethsemane Lutheran Church.

He was married to Sarah in June 2008. All five of their children have been born and baptized in Iowa. Pastor and his family are grateful for their extended church family at Gethsemane and with their friends across the River at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Moline, Illinois.
